Pursuing the cruising dream in 32' of sailing ketch

My life as a home-wrecker

Here are a few photos to add to the mystery of our existence. If you’ve been wondering what the crew of the good ship Sionna is up to, (and of course you HAVE been wondering, because the doctrines of narcissism demand it) these should give an idea.

Stay tuned. We’ve got nine months to turn this place into something a bank would smile upon!

Living the dream in 32'. We left Maine on August 18th, 2016, and have gradually worked our way south until we felt warm enough. After spending the summer in Maine, working to replenish the cruising kitty, we’re back on the boat, with plans to visit the Bahamas later in the winter. 2. And you though living on a boat was a lot of work. That looks like a big job. We built our house from scratch, it took years. Actually it really never got truly finished. Does it ever? One thing sailing and building projects have in common is when you try to hold yourself to a schedule….well you know, we have all done it. I hope the wind is at your back on this one, best of luck.

    • Thanks, Chris! Since this one is being done as a rehab, we won’t try to live there until it is basically finished. I’m hopeful that speeds the process along, but we’ll see. I suspect weather (cold) will be our biggest limiting factor in what we can get done, so we’re really jumping on the demo so we can insulate!
